Arkansas State Flag

SKU 020116
The colors of the flag are those of both the United States and the Confederate States of America. The 25 white stars record that Arkansas was the 25th state admitted to the Union. The diamond shape indicates that Arkansas was the only diamond producing state of the Union, and the star above the name of the state commemorates the Confederacy, The other blue stars have a double meaning: they represent Spain, France and the United States, to which Arkansas successively belonged, and note that Arkansas was the third state formed out of the Louisiana Purchase.
