SKU 060670
History records Captain Stephen Driver of Salem, Massachusetts, used the words "Old Glory" in 1831 as he voyaged on a journey that would eventually culminate with the rescue of the mutineers of the BOUNTY and that flag itself became known as Old Glory. In 1862, Captain Driver raised Old Glory over the state capitol to celebrate the Union's triumph, and ever since, people have called the American flag "Old Glory." The original "OLD GLORY" is reported to be housed at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.
